With over 45 entertaining shows out, (including fun and educational songs) and more to come, you and your child will have a wide variety of videos to keep you both entertained and learning!! As I continue to write the scripts for the Miss Maggie Mack Shows, one of the benefits that I am getting is to keep broadening my knowledge of subjects from farm animals and pets, to foods and more!! None of us are walking encyclopedias and one of the advantages of having children in your life and/or working with them, is that you just can't help but to learn more!! It's a wonderful thing!! While writing the scripts, I research certain topics such as researching for my latest "in process" show about "real ducks" (not just rubber duckies) and spoiler alert (Woolly Bears)!

I have always loved animals, from the time I was young when we had cats and goldfish growing up. I was in an after school nature club and am just as happy being outside(enjoying nature) as indoors! I can't help but become distracted from my work when I see a frog or toad
hopping in front of my lawn mower(pictures to come!!), as I attempt to get control of that lawn that won't stop growing!! One year I adopted "Hoppy", an adorable toad in our neighbor's yard and fell in love with it before I discovered that it would need to be fed live crickets and earthworms! My sons(being young at the time) had fun digging up worms which I was not exactly thrilled to have to do myself!! Hoppy gave us many enjoyable moments and with this love of animals in my heart, that grew bigger recently with the addition of 4 more pets (Guinea Pigs) to our household of 3 existing cats, I have developed my Miss Maggie Mack Pet Series for children to enjoy. I am hoping to add to that series in the future also!! I believe very highly in children being able to have at least a period of time in their childhood when they are able to have a pet in their lives. There is so much language that can be learned in addition to learning about responsibilities through being involved in the caring of a pet, not to mention the facts a child can learn about various animals. While not every housing situation works to have pets, small pets like Hermit Crabs(which I had also) offer a chance for a child to experience pet ownership, learn about animals, develop language and learn about pet care. As you will
see as you watch the videos, I try to infuse language (and other) learning into a variety of
areas that may interest young children to help keep them engaged and wanting to learn more!
Most young children love animals and many toddler toys have farm animals and pets as themes.
In addition to the pet series, there are shows for the Fall Season, Christmas Season, New Years, Valentine's Day, Ground Hog Day(which included a beginning tour of the Turtleback Zoo with an invitation to watch a companion video exploring more of the zoo), St. Patrick's Day, Spring and Summer. There are several 4th of July shows also. The shows teach concepts which include colors, numbers and counting, expanding vocabulary in categories such as toys, animals, vehicles, seasonal and holiday related vocabulary and more, size concepts such as big and little and other early developmental concepts, sorting and problem solving skills, social skills including manners such as using please and thank you and much more!
Recently, I became a bit "stuck in duck mode", starting off when I saw a Facebook post about a local duck derby. I had never been to one before and I figured that since many toddlers love rubber duckies, it would be fun to learn more about duck derbies and film one. There now are several duck derby and rubber duckie themed shows also and a "real duck" show in the works! I am in the process of creating a listing of the show names with the links for you to be able to access them easily and directly from this website. And regarding the duck theme, I was fortunate to also reconnect with Megan of Ava and Mar Mar-Velous Moments recently. When she heard I was doing duck themed shows she decided to make a duck experience box for ages 3 plus. I have centered several "tip" videos around her products from the experience box and will be airing more tip videos as this website comes out.
One of my main goals (with The Miss Maggie Mack Show and this website) is to help empower parents in a variety of ways, including by offering a variety of tips which you can find on my tip videos(which I will continue to be creating) and through helpful articles and ideas on this website. In the descriptions below the children's shows, I have tried to list helpful ideas for parents whenever possible as to how to make the most of the time invested in viewing the shows. In addition, I encourage parents to watch the shows with their children to be able to make the most of the learning opportunities as possible by learning from my verbal models and by extending the ideas into your own home life. You can learn from my examples as to how to develop language with your children by using the ideas with toys in your own home. For example, I show how you can use dolls to teach body parts and following directions with the "If You're Happy And You Know It" song. You can also watch the seasonal and holiday shows to get ideas as to how to use holiday time to teach related vocabulary such as I did when decorating a small Christmas tree on one of my Christmas shows. Stay tuned for more helpful articles, ideas and tip videos coming your way soon!! I will be compiling a listing of tip videos with links also but in the meantime you can check out the existing videos by checking the show out on YouTube.
In addition, you can keep updated on the great products Megan is offering at Ava and Mar
